Mary Alice Silba, 72, passed from this life May 3, 2019, with her husband and close family members by her side. Alice was dearly loved by her family and numerous friends and will be greatly missed.
Alice, as she was known to everyone, was born August 10, 1946, to the late Augustine and Henrietta Gonzales in Stamford, Texas. It was there where she attended school and helped to raise her 5 siblings.
Alice met the love of her life, Henry Silba, at a dance in Cisco, Texas. They were married on November 17, 1962, and made their home in Baird, Texas, where they raised their 3 daughters. Alice worked as a waitress at the U-U steakhouse. She would later go on to own and operate her own restaurants, Granny's and Alice's Mexican Food. Alice enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing bingo, watching her favorite daytime soap operas, completing word search puzzles, and reading books by Joyce Meyers.
