Charles Thomas Chaney

Charles Thomas Chaney of Abilene left this life Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at the age of 57.

Charles was born October 15, 1963 in Ft. Benning, Georgia to Bobby Joe and Patsy Irene (McBride) Chaney.  He was a caring son, and a loving father and grandfather.  He was an avid fisherman and a capable craftsman, skilled in all of the construction trades.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Joe Chaney.

He is survived by his mother, Patsy Irene Chaney of Abilene; a daughter, Tonda Chaney of Abilene; a brother, Randy Chaney of Abilene; sisters Patricia Chaney of Chico and Nora Dunn of Abilene; grandsons Jay and Zane of Abilene; friend and Tonda’s mother, Marva Chaney; and his best friend, Wesley Mashburn.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home, 141 E. 3rd Street in Baird.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 PM.  Burial will be in Ross Cemetery Annex.
