Maria Valdez

Maria Caballero Valdez, was born May 23rd 1941 in George West, Texas. She was the daughter of Jose and Josefina Caballero. She passed away on September 22nd, 2021. She was 80 years old.

Maria was a devout Catholic who spent much of her life praying and serving others. She loved the Lord and kept her faith all of her life. She was the kindest and most gentle hearted person, always putting her family first. She is truly loved by so many people, especially her very large family. She will be greatly missed.

Maria is survived by husband Roberto Valdez of 64 years of marriage.

She is also survived by her sons, Richard Valdez, Gilbert Valdez and wife Carmen, Herman Valdez and wife Lynn, Henry Valdez and wife Sharon, and Jeremy Valdez. As well as her daughters, Norma Robertson, Ilsa and husband Joe Silva, Leticia and husband Micah Guerrero.

Maria, “Grandma Mary”, had numerous grandchildren who she loved dearly. Miguel Calera and wife Kristi. Mario Calera and wife Suaanamy. Joe Silva Jr and wife Mychelle, Renee Quintanilla, Laura and husband Chris Martin, Eric Silva and wife Kristen, Kristen and husband Paul Ashton, Gary Robertson lll and wife Mindy, Ashley Lopez, Kelbi Valdez, Jaci Silva and fiancé Cody Miller, Hannah Guerrero, and Natalie Guerrero. She also had 15 Great Grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sisters, Petra and husband Eusebio Valdez, Eloisa Caballero, Connie Robles, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Gary Robertson Jr.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home, 141 E. 3rd in Baird, with Rosary to follow at 6:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Monday, September 27, 2021, in the Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home Chapel.
