Patsy Irene Chaney

Patsy Irene Chaney went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, July 13, 2021, at the age of 85.

Patsy was born November 14, 1935 in Baird, Texas, to Herbert and Nora Anderson McBride.  She married Bobby Joe Chaney, spending 27 years as an Officer’s wife, as Bobby served the United States Army as a Lt. Colonel. 

She was a sweet and loving mother and grandmother, who loved God, her family and her country. She is now at rest in the loving arms of her Savior.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 34 years, Bobby Joe Chaney; a son, Charles Chaney; and brothers Tommy McBride, Herbert McBride and Bobby McBride.

Survivors include her son, Randy Chaney of Abilene; daughters Patricia Chaney of Chico, Texas, Nora Dunn of Abilene, and Angie Cupps of Wylie, Texas; a brother, Jimmy McBride and wife Diane of Lubbock; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services, officiated by Jack Dunn, will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home, 141 E. 3rd Street in Baird.  A visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Ross Cemetery Annex.
